About James Gauson – Safety Consultant/Trainer
James Gauson is a Safety Consultant and an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer for MSC Safety Solutions. James brings eight (8) plus years of professional safety & health experience and twenty-two (22) plus years of construction trade experience to assist our clients. This has included working as a third-party Safety Manager for E&K of Denver, a DEN Site Safety Supervisor for Latcon Corporation at Denver International Airport, and a Safety Engineer for Mortenson Construction.
As a triple Journeyman with over two decades of direct hands-on experience, James worked as a Lead Carpenter for Mortenson, a Foreman Pipe Welder for Security 1st Welding, and an Industrial Housekeeper with the State of Colorado.
The invaluable hands-on fieldwork experience in multiple trades has helped James develop into a safety professional with a uniquely high level of proven in-field face-to-face communication because he knows “craft person vocabulary.” As a result, construction managers and tradespeople alike are open to the practical safety solutions he presents in the field when he conducts site safety inspections.
James has been married to his wonderful wife, Terri, for 21 years, and they will celebrate their 22nd anniversary in May. James enjoys playing his bass guitar, fishing, and weightlifting in his spare time.
