President – Troy L. Clark
Troy L. Clark brings over 30 years of leadership and expertise to the safety industry, with a focus on construction and general industry policy development, behavioral-based safety, fall protection, and safety management principles. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations reduce risk, develop proactive safety cultures, and implement customized safety solutions that align with their operational goals.
Troy has served in a wide range of industries and roles. His background includes work with the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) in nuclear power, asbestos and lead abatement, and heavy civil construction with nationally recognized contractors such as Ames Construction and SEMA Construction. He also has extensive experience managing safety on commercial and government projects, including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers construction sites with Hensel Phelps. In addition to his field expertise, Troy has taught thousands of hours of safety and management courses and contributed to the production of training videos for local contractors.
He offers comprehensive safety services, including the development and maintenance of safety programs, accident investigations, and advocacy during OSHA investigations and citation proceedings. Troy’s ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable practices makes him a trusted advisor in both compliance and culture-building efforts.
In 2010, Troy joined Miller Safety Consulting and quickly became a valued leader within the organization. By 2011, he became a part-owner and assumed full ownership in 2015. Under his leadership, the company rebranded as MSC Safety Solutions and expanded its reach, delivering innovative and client-focused risk management services across Colorado and beyond. In 2016 he created the Colorado Crane Operator School (CCOS) that has become a leader in the industry and a Department of Public Occupational School in Colorado. CCOS has established a solid reputation working with NCCCO to provide certification to Crane Operators, Riggers, and Signal Persons.
Troy is actively involved in shaping safety standards on a broader scale. He is a member of the National AGC Health and Safety Committee and the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). He also serves as administrator for several nonprofit safety associations, including the Steel Erectors Safety Association of Colorado (SESAC), the Contractors Elite Safety Association (CESA), and the Roaring Fork Safety Association (RFSA). In addition, he has served on the board of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association.
Born in a small Nebraska town, Troy spent his high school years in Culbertson before enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany patrolling the East German border. After returning home in 1988, he attended Peru State College in Nebraska and later settled in Colorado, where he met his wife, Catherine.
Outside of work, Troy enjoys upland game hunting with his dogs, riding motorcycles, and golfing. His guiding belief is that success comes from honoring the past, investing in the present, and preparing for the future.
Safety is not enforced; safety is a by-product of training.
